The Global Competence Certificate (GCC) is a course built by Sentio - an international, voluntary, non-profit organization that provides intercultural learning opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world.

Taking the Global Competence Certificate program through GV Victoria includes stimulating English language classes to broaden a student's perspective of the people and cultures of the world, building global competence.

With a qualified facilitator guiding the process toward certification, students maximize both their cultural learning and their English language learning.  By using classroom lessons and a variety of on-line resources, students will be able to develop intercultural competence, while developing their native-like fluency.

GCC TOPICS INCLUDE:

> Stereotypes and generalizations
> Cultural Values
> Communication Styles
> Dealing with Conflict
> Navigating Cultures
> Intercultural Learning

The course consists of:

> An individual account for a unique online learning environment
> Access to 18 online modules with video content subtitles in multiple languages
> Access to forum space for reflecting with peers

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive the well-respected Global Competence Certificate, which will help make anyone more marketable in our global economy.
