English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

The English for Academic Purposes Intensive program provides you with the language and academic skills required for further studies in Australia.

There are three components of the course:

• EAP 1, which is an introductory course,
• EAP 2, which prepares you for further study at a vocational of TAFE college, and
• EAP 3, which prepares you for further study at an Australian university.

You can enroll anywhere from 8 to 24 weeks, depending on your level of English and your further study goals; The teaching materials used on the program are designed to give you realistic practice in the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills you will need when you are studying in an English-speaking situation.

English for Academic Purposes - EAP 1

This course provides the ideal pathway into our EAP courses. It combines General English with an introduction to our EAP programs. It aims to provide you with a solid foundation and a smooth transition into our more academic programs.

Course duration: 8 weeks, Minimum Age: 18

Ability level: Lower Intermediate, Exam required? Yes

Course focus:

• Basic presentations
• Grammar
• Structured writing at sentence and paragraph level

English for Academic Purposes - EAP 2

This course prepares you for further study at Australian business colleges, TAFE and other training institutions.

Course duration: 8 weeks, Minimum Age: 18

Ability level: Intermediate, Exam required? Yes

Course focus:

• The course is competency-based. This means you demonstrate your skills throughout the course and do not have formal examinations.

Our EAP 3 course prepares you for further study at an Australian university. The course is competency-based.
