Registration

1/ How do I register
Once you have chosen your school and program, you can contact one of our authorized agents or register with us directly. Please visit our Application Page for more information.

2/ Do I have to register through an agent?
It is not necessary to register through an agent. You can send us your registration form directly.
However, you may want to contact one of our authorized agents, who will provide you with accurate information, and help you with your travel needs. Please contact us to receive the contact information for the agent nearest to your location.

3/ How can I get the Acceptance Letter from the school?
In order to receive our Acceptance letter, you must first register and pay either the required deposit or full tuition, depending on the school you have selected and the duration of your studies. Once we have received your payment, we will send you the Acceptance Letter by mail, email or fax. The original document will always be mailed.

4/ How long does the registration process last?
Between 48 hrs and two weeks. It usually takes us 24 hours to send you the invoice corresponding to your registration form once we have received it. Your registration will be completed once we receive your payment. Payments are immediate when done by way of credit card, and can take up to 12 days when done by wire transfer. We immediately send the Acceptance Lettre when advised that the payment has reached the school.

5/ Do you offer any kind of financial support to international students?
Global Village does not offer any kind of financial support or scholarship to international students.

6/ How much do I have to pay to confirm my registration?
In most of our schools, we will require full payment of the registration fee, tuition fees, homestay placement fee and first four weeks of homestay fees for studies of less than three months. Or we will require payment of the registration fee, first three months of tuition fees, homestay placement fee and first four weeks of homestay fees for studies of more than three months.

7/ Can I pay online using my credit card?
Yes, you can. However, online payments are possible only once your registration has been received, processed and accepted. Credit card payments can be processed over the phone for all schools and online for Vancouver, Calgary and Victoria (some conditions apply). You will need a special access code to enter your payment on our secured online system. Once your registration has been approved, you will receive the corresponding invoice and all necessary information for your online payment (access code).

Fees

1/ Are the exams included in the fees?
The TOEIC exam is included in the tuition fees in our Canadian schools and in Hawaii.
The Cambridge exam fees (FCE, CAE, CPE) are not included in the tuition.
The TOEFL and IELTS exams are not included in the tuition fees.
The CELTA exam is included in the tuition fees.

2/ Is the homestay included in the fees?
No, the homestay is not included in the tuition fess. Please check out our Fee Pages for details.

3/ Is the homestay fee given per day or per week?
It is given per 4 weeks period.

4/ Are the activities included in the fees?
Many of the activities organized by our dedicated Activities Coordinators are free. Other activities such as sports events, excursions, movies, outings, field trips, are at a cost that is not included in tuition fees. All the activities offered within the Teen Activity Programme are included in the total fees.

5/ Is the airport transfer provided by the school? Is it included in the fees?
Yes, an airport transfer can be organized by the school. This optional service is not included in the tuition fees.

6/ How can I pay?
Payment can be made by the way of credit card (Visa & Mastercard), wire transfer or bank draft. All relevant information regarding your payment will be given once we receive your registration form.

1/ Do I get a refund if I can't get the visa to enter a country?

Canada: If a student's permit application is rejected, the school will refund 100% of the total tuition fees and Homestay, except Registration and Homestay Placement Fee.

USA: students are given a complete refund if visas are denied, including registration and accommodation placement fees.

Australia: all fees, except the registration/enrolment fee, will be refunded if the student is not granted a visa.

4/Can I change programs after the session has started?
Yes, you can. If you decide to change to a program of same value, there is no additional cost related to this change. If you decide to change to a program of higher value, you will be asked to pay the difference between the two programs.

5/ Is there a Diploma or Certificate at the end of the program?
Yes, there is. On the last day of your session, there is a graduation ceremony during which you will be awarded a Certificate stating the program you have followed and the duration of your studies. Many Universities and institutions recognize the Global Village Certificates.
